Baguio stories

With this lockdown, nature is taking a rest. Skies are brighter. Rivers crystal clear. No garbage in Burnham. Soon we'll enjoy these things. And be more circumspect next time. Love nature and it'll love you back.

Museo Kordilyera. Indigenous culture.

Another museum? Yup, Baguio has lots. But this one's new and modern. A venue for research and exhibitions of the social life and culture of the Cordilleras. You know, cerebral stuff. What do you expect? It's inside UP Baguio. These guys think a lot aside from protesting something.. somewhere.

Bell Church. Chinese Temple.

Want to go where kung fu movies were filmed in Baguio? Best time to go is Chinese New Year but they also have mini cultural festivals/shows on weekends.

..

Cafe Yagam. Authentic Cordillera coffee.

Cool-weather, strawberries, pine trees. What else is there that is native Baguio? Coffee? Where? JCo (too Manila). 7-11(too regular). Starbucks (God forbid!). You're in Baguio, for crying out loud! Go indigenous.

The Baguio Longanisa Story.

Longanisa is actually a common breakfast fare all over our country but tourists and even locals found our version better. Or is it really? No idea but in every Panagbenga (except this year, of course), long lines can be seen in our homegrown longanisa vendors.
