Baguio stories

A lot have been said about Baguio. But we'll dig a little deeper about the stories behind it. Like why the streets and parks have American names while Manila has Spanish ones.. why heritage houses and monasteries became haunted.. favorite restos of city folks. And then we start to appreciate the city more.

Ili-Likha Artist Village. Art under construction.

Remember Kidlat Tahimik of Oh My Gulay? He founded another artist village cum resto that provides inspiration for Baguio artists and environmental advocates. Food's good, too!

Wright Park. Horseback riding.

Traverse the tourist trail on horseback. Just like our American overlords in the early 1900s. But in a pink horse? Why not.

Cafe Yagam. Authentic Cordillera coffee.

Cool-weather, strawberries, pine trees. What else is there that is native Baguio? Coffee? Where? JCo (too Manila). 7-11(too regular). Starbucks (God forbid!). You're in Baguio, for crying out loud! Go indigenous.

The family that owned Baguio.

Did you know that there is a family of indigenous natives that once owned Baguio? Nope, I don't think they're related to the Villars.
